It’s after the end of the world! Don’t you know that yet? Sun Ra wrote this song in 1974, and it seems more true with east passing prediction. Most recently I refer to the predictions of the Christian rapture made by Harold Camping. The book Illuminatus! by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson clearly states not to trust anyone with the initials H.C. I think that pretty much says it all. Of course, nothing happened, but that didn’t stop him from restating his prediction, giving us the opportunity to throw another party in five months.
When it comes to the rapture, people have two choices. They can focus on a false outer rapture, forever awaiting the arrival of a being who never seems to arrive. When taken to extremes this results in things like the recent nonsense, or worse things like Heaven’s Gate. Alternatively, one can look within, and focus on the true inner rapture which comes from the bliss felt while bringing your highest potential good to Earth. Unlike a false outer rapture, this actually exists right here and now. I covered this in a recent article.
People need to wake up! We have reached a critical time in our history, no matter what you believe. Even the most hardened materialist must admit that things have gotten a little weird. The weather has gone totally bananas with deadly tornados, freak storms, and I don’t even know the season. The government has become even more brazen in its continuing agenda to destroy our civil liberties, and they have further lessened our international dignity with another undeclared war. The economy continues to sag like a house of cards, propped up by a stock market that rises like a game of Jenga. People have started freaking out. Clearly, we must start taking constructive action immediately.
Last night, Over the Edge did a whole three hour special making fun of the rapture. They set it up like a fake edition of Open Forum, with Harold Camping hosting the show from heaven in his post-rapture state. Brilliant! They took calls through the night, and I called in.
Mr. Camping makes extensive use of the number twenty-three in his predictions. 2/3=.666, the number of man and the number of the beast. Various societies both real and fictional have used this number as well. I wanted to know if Mr. Camping works with any of these groups. I suspect so – look at the damage his efforts have done to discredit christianity. A christian would consider this evil, and I would have to agree. Since the real Harold Camping would never address such an issue, I figured this would suffice, and it did. Listen for yourself and become illuminated. Sorry for the transcoding artifacts. Hail Eris!
By the way, while editing this article, VoiceOver said: “It’s after the end of the world! Harold Camping is selected.” It read the title, and I had selected those words to insert a link. Goddess speaks in mysterious ways.
